Will Christians Be Blamed? Remember back in Rome's history to the time of Nero. Nero blamed Christians for Rome's fire, when he actually started it. Christian's were ironically called “atheists” because they did not believe in the pantheon Roman gods. They believed in Jesus alone! Now today there is this global virus outbreak called Coronavirus. There will be a time when Christians will be blamed for things they have nothing to do with. Joh 15:18 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Our response to the world may seem counter intuitive. We are to love them and do good to them. That is God’s will because he will use that to bring repentance to their hearts (Rm.12:17,21). Rom 12:17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. Rom 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. 1Pe 4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 1Pe 4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. |
