    Eschatology Matters

Eschatology is from eschatos (meaning 'last') and ology (meaning the 'study of'). So in short it is the study of last things. In other words, Bible Prophecy.
In a real way, about 1/3 of the Bible is prophecy related. That is huge!

1. The doctrine of eschatology gives HOPE to believers while the world is in despair. The coronavirus is confronting people with their mortality. Believers who study eschatology should not be afraid. Many churches do not study Bible prophecy and so they may agonize over recent events.

2. The doctrine of eschatology gives DISCERNMENT to believers as we see predictive prophecy unfold. Discerning Christians should help answer questions concerning the end times. Jesus intends for us to be able to discern prophetic signs. In that context, Jesus told His disciples, “See, I have told you beforehand” (Mt.24:25).
Mat 24:32 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
Mat 24:33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!
